Air fryer mushrooms are so tender and juicy, they disappear fast! Minimal oil, delicious garlic seasoning, and the fastest air fryer method will have you making air fry mushrooms on repeat.
Toss MUSHROOMS with OLIVE OIL, GARLIC POWDER, SALT, and PEPPER.
Spread in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Set air fryer anywhere between 380°F to 400°F. Air fry mushrooms 5 minutes, or more, until they reach your preferred texture, shaking the basket as needed.Note: My happy place is 5 minutes @ 380°F but yours might be different. By all means, experiment!
Transfer mushrooms out of the cooker and serve garnished with PARSLEY.
To store, refrigerate in an airtight container up to 3 days.
Notes
Preheating - I don't preheat my 5.8 quart air fryer because it heats so quickly, but I always preheat my larger Instant Omni.
Oil - Air fryer mushrooms actually do require oil, but not much! Go easy at first and add more as needed.
For crispier mushrooms - Leave ample space between the mushrooms in the AF basket and cook them until they have crisped to your liking, shaking as needed.
Temperature setting - Air fried mushrooms thrive anywhere between 380°F to 400°F. The higher temperature cooks them faster, so keep that in mind.
How long to air fry mushrooms - Air frying mushrooms can take between 5 to 15 minutes at said temperatures. The actual time will depend on your texture preferences.
Shake the basket? - You may not need to shake the basket for every AF recipe. It really depends on how your AF model distributes heat.
