Select chocolate chips from reputable brands for the best quality and flavor. White candy melts can be used in equal amounts.
Melt the chocolate gently to avoid scorching whether you use a microwave or stove to heat it.
To remedy overheated (clumpy) chocolate, add a teaspoon of oil and microwave it in 20-second intervals, stirring as necessary until it becomes smooth again.
Melted white chocolate solidifies quickly, so you may need to reheat it a few times while making this recipe.
Make peppermint pretzels with dark chocolate for a different twist on flavor and appearance.
