Smoked Salmon Dip with Greek Yogurt
I love to serve smoked salmon dip at gatherings, especially around the holidays because it’s always a smash hit!
Beware though, if you do serve it to guests, make sure you keep up with party dip maintenance.
Otherwise, you’ll turn your head and WHAM-O…empty bowl!
What I don’t tell my guests is that they’re eating a lightened up version of smoked salmon dip.
That’s right, instead of sour cream or mayo, I use nonfat Greek yogurt to knock down a few fat calories and add a little protein.
If you know me, you know this is one of my favorite recipes hacks.
Smoked salmon dips usually call for cream cheese, so for this recipe, I used a reduced fat cream cheese.
I mean, why not skip some fat here so you can go bigger on a triple cream brie cheese with my Pomegranate Cranberry Relish topping?!
How to serve salmon on a budget:
This smoked salmon spread recipe is the ticket!
Think about this…if you serve sliced, smoked salmon on a platter to party guests, you have no control over how many slices are eaten by your guests, and the dollars add up quick!
I recommend buying smoked salmon in bulk, freeze it into 4 oz portions, thaw as needed, and create beautiful, extravagant, party dips like this one.
When it’s party time, simply use the portioned salmon to make this Smoked Salmon Dip and serve it on a tray with crackers, bread, and vegetables.
This way, you cover a lot more ground with less cost.
