Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending The International Food Blogger Conference (IFBC 2015) in Seattle, WA.
This post is the first of a three-part series about my experience. I’m kicking it off with my list of Food Bloggers To Follow. Meeting this many like-minded fooders in one weekend…it’s a rare opportunity, and I can’t keep these gems from my readers.
There is something really special about taking time out from family, jobs, and busy routines to meet, learn, eat, and laugh with passionate people in our niche. It’s another kind of family.
We attend these events to improve our craft, create new opportunities, and add value to our content. Most importantly, we’re growing friendships and geeking out on discussions like ‘how to increase follower engagement’ and ‘favorite ways to cook eggs’. It’s a win-win!
The result…we’re fulfilled, our readers receive more interesting content, and the internet is a happier place to hang out.
(Here’s our breakfast meetup at Loulay in Seattle…organized by Heather at unitedstatesofmotherhood.com. Thanks, Heather!)
IFBC goers aren’t just food bloggers, btw. I had the pleasure of meeting travel, lifestyle, and photography bloggers, social media experts, and of course some of the amazing speakers. Yep, The Kitchen Girl was BUSY!
To my readers…The Food Bloggers To Follow list is packed with resource links of people blogging various food interests, along with a few other niches. I’m certain you’ll find content that resonates with your interests, and prepare to discover new ones too!
To the IFBC’ers…If we met in person, I likely bookmarked your site (on the spot) and you’re listed here. We may have attended a session together, swapped SM handles, grabbed coffee, or shared a meal. I appreciated spending time with you and chatting it up. I’ll be getting to know you more online and am looking forward to sharing you with my readers!
Cheers to the hard-working, food-blogging community…and always to our health!
Food Bloggers To Follow (the IFBC peeps I met in person)
There are several IFBC peeps I did not get to meet in person. But, thanks to Foodista and IFBC, we have this giant list of attendees. In other words, there are a whole lotta passionate food bloggers I can’t wait to meet and follow online! Here’s the list:
