How to cook corn on the cob in the air fryer
This recipe couldn't be easier. Just like my air fryer green beans, it's more like a set of simple guidelines for perfect results. Enjoy these recipe photos or skip down to the printable recipe card.
Step 1. Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit. Shuck and clean corn ears and pat dry to remove any surface moisture.
Step 2. Place corn in air fryer basket and brush OIL over the surface. Air fry the corn 12-15 minutes until cooked through with slightly crispy edges, turning as needed for even browning.
Step 3. Carefully transfer corn to a serving plate and rest a few minutes. Serve warm with optional SALT, PEPPER, and MELTED BUTTER.
Recipe tips
- shucking is recommended - For safety reasons, I advise against air frying corn ears with the husks on. This is to prevent burning the husks since the corn will likely be in close proximity to the air fryer heating element.
- placement - To ensure proper air circulation and optimal cooking, leave at least one inch of space between each corn ear when filling the air fryer.
- corn temperature - Room temperature corn on the cob cooks slightly faster than chilled corn, which may reduce the final air fryer cook time by a few minutes.
- final cook time - Adjust cooking time based on corn size and desired level of browning and doneness.
Serving variations
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the surface for a salty, satisfying flavor.
- Turn this delicious air fryer corn into a delightful Mexican elote corn on the cob or Mexican corn salad, and watch it disappear!
- Serve corn with Cajun seasoning for a kick of heat.
- Spread crème fraîche over cooked corn sprinkled with fresh herbs.
- Insert skewers into the cooked corn cob for a party-friendly serving idea.
